Continued..

Sorry, that was useless... I got a seat on all his tables and he was just sitting out and eventually just left.  Its funny because all the regulars know who he is now, so once he sits down there's a huge waiting list for his tables.

Getting back to my last blog.  I feel like I'm playing good, life has been alright so I would have no reason to be playing badly.  Its just been stale I guess.  But that happens when grinding a lot of hands, you go through ups and downs and break even stretches.  I am doing my best though trying to log in as many hands as I can.  Trying to get in 2,000 a day for the rest of the month.

Looking back at some of my hands I have taken some sick beats by one outers..  Here take a look, no need for
explanation.

When you can't win hands like that its tough to come out ahead at the end of a session.  Those hands really don't bother me at all though, it happens.. I'm sure I'll do the same thing to someone else at one point.

Lately I've been really thinking about the players at my tables and who I should be playing against and who I shouldn't.  I've always stated that game selection is extremely important to look for tables with the most amount of bad players you can find.  But sometimes its inevitable to play against solid regulars and thats what I've been working on.  For example today when I was at the tables with that fish, the other 5 people were solid players trying to do the same thing I was.  So I've been working on playing against these good players and studying the way they play when I'm away from the table.  With Poker Tracker you can data mine hands from tables you observe and review them later.  I was able to pull up all the hands from the biggest winners at this limit and watched a lot of their winning and losing hands and took notes.  When moving up in limits the fish become more scarce and the tables are packed with regulars.  Being able to play against these guys profitable is a must.

Ok lets take a look at the biggest pots I got involved in over the last few days.

^ This hand was against that fish I was talking about earlier.  Me and him were 3 and 4 betting each other a lot.  If we weren't sitting with deep stacks I would of folded 9,10s preflop, but since we were deep I decided to call.  I get a dream flop for my hand was looking to get the money in as quick as possible.  I wasn't  planning on folding this hand ever against this guy even if I had more money in front of me.  I turn the flush but still have to sweat another spade from not coming on the river giving him a higher flush.. luckily it bricks out for him.

^ This hand is really similar to a hand I posted in my last blog.  I actually don't like my call preflop and would prefer a fold, but the table was playing pretty crazy at the time and I think that induced me to call.  I still don't think him getting it in with 88 there is good, but whatever.. pretty much a flip, and flips haven't been going my way.

^ Well what a beautiful turn that was!

^ Was able to pick off a nice bluff here.  I think I was able to extract the max value in this hand.  I've been taking this line against guys I have noted that like to fire 3 barrels.

I'm going to play a night session tonight and hopefully come ahead.  I still have my goals in mind but not going crazy trying to accomplish all of them.  I like my mindset lately at the tables and thats all the really matters.  I do believe though it was because I did make some goals, definitely something I'm going to keep up in the future.
